Four Israeli soldiers, including officer, killed

WEST BANK, March 24 (YPA) – “Tulkarm battalion”, affiliated with Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced at dawn on Sunday that “Four Israeli soldiers, including an officer, were killed.”

The “battalion” said in a statement: “Our brave soldiers were able to infiltrate into our occupied territories near the monastery gate, and after careful surveillance they were able to set up a precise ambush for an i10 car in which the duty officer was traveling, accompanied by three soldiers.”

The statement continued: “Our soldiers were able to intercept their way and shower them with bullets, which led to the killing of all of them and the vehicle overturning, and the fighters withdrew safely.”

The “battalion” added that this operation comes “in response to the assassination of our resistance fighters in the Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm north of the West Bank.”

The operation comes in light of a state of escalating tension in the West Bank since the 7th of last October, as guerrilla operations against the occupation escalate, which continues to attack cities and villages in the West Bank, in parallel with its continuing massacres in the Gaza Strip.
