90,000 worshippers perform Isha,Taraweeh prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque

QUDS, March 15 (YPA) – Ninety thousand worshippers performed the evening and Tarawih prayers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Islamic Endowments Department in Occupied Jerusalem affirmed 90,000 worshippers performed  Isha and Taraweeh prayers inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as in the Dome of the Rock and the courtyards of the mosque, despite the strict measures imposed by the occupation forces, including the installation of iron gates at several entrances to the holy mosque.

According to the Palestinian news agency “WAFA,” this number is the largest to gather at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in several months, as 80 thousand worshippers performed the first Friday prayer of Ramadan.

The occupation measures led to a decrease in the number of worshippers due to preventing residents of the West Bank and Gaza Strip from reaching occupied Jerusalem and establishing more than 30 checkpoints in various neighborhoods and entrances, including the entrances to Al-Aqsa.
