Citizen killed in Lahj after being tortured inside UAE-run prison

LAHJ, March 14 (YPA) – A citizen was killed on Wednesday after being tortured inside one of prisons run by the UAE-backed armed factions in Lahj province, south of Yemen.

Local sources affirmed that Yanouf Shagban Saeed Shawah Al-Harhari, from the Subaiha tribe, was killed after being subjected to various types of torture inside the prison of the al-Amaliqa factions in the province.

The sources reported that the faction kidnapped Al-Harhari after preventing him from establishing a military point affiliated with the Saudi-funded Dera al-Watan Forces factions, next to his house in the village of Al-Harhara in Al-Mudaraba district, early last February.

Al-Amaliqa forces left Al-Harhari without giving him treatment until he died inside the prison.
