SANAA, March 10 YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology has expected that a chance of scattered showers will fall on a number of Yemeni provinces during the next 24 hours.
In its forecast bulletin on Sunday, the center affirmed that the weather will be partly cloudy to generally cloudy, accompanied with a chance of thunderstorms of varying intensity over separate areas of Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj, Bayda, Shabwa, Hadramout, and Mahra.
The bulletin added that the scattered rain may be expected in parts of the provinces of Sanaa, Hajjah, Mahweet, Raymah, with the possibility of fog forming on parts of the highlands of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj, Bayda, Shabwa and Hadramout.
It pointed out that the weather will be clear to partly cloudy, with light to medium northeasterly winds in the desert areas.
The bulletin called on citizens to exercise caution and avoid being in the paths of torrential rains and valleys, and not to risk crossing them during and after rain.
It warned against using mobile phones and electrical appliances and being near tall trees and high places to avoid lightning strikes, calling on the motoriets to drive carefully to avoid low visibility due to rain or fog and to cross ground bridges when floods flow.
