Rainfall expected in Sanaa, several provinces during next 24 hours

SANAA, March 08 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology expected rain, sometimes accompanied by hails in parts of the governorates of several Yemeni provinces in the coming 24 hours.

In its weather forecast on Friday, the center predicted rains to hit parts of the provinces of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Mahweet, Riymah, Ibb, Taiz and Dhalea.

The center also predicted scattered rain to hit parts of the governorates of Sanaa, Dhamar, Marib, Jawf, northern Lahj, Abyan, Hadramout Plateau, Tihama Plain, and the western coasts.

It urged citizens not to be present in floodways during and after rainfall as well as not to use mobile phones and electrical devices.

The center warned the drivers of the danger of low horizontal visibility due to rainfall and fog formation and not crossing ground bridges during the flow of floods.

It also urged citizens to follow its issued bulletins.
