ADEN, Feb. 26 (YPA) – Saudi military reinforcements arrived on Monday to the “Shield of the Homeland” factions in the southern Yemeni city of Aden.
Informed sources confirmed that dozens of Saudi military vehicles arrived in Aden from the border port of Al-Wadiya, indicating that the reinforcements belong to the “Shield of the Homeland” factions, which were formed from Salafi groups and tribes opposed to the ”Southern Transitional” of the UAE in early 2023.
The sources explained that the Saudi military vehicles entered the headquarters of the coalition forces in al-Buraiqa area.
The sources pointed out that the military reinforcements came after the return of leaders in the Transitional Council with the head of the council Aidrus al-Zabidi, including the leader Ahmed bin Brik, in anticipation of any moves that limit the implementation of the tasks of the coalition government headed by Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, loyal to the Islah Party.
