TAIZ, Feb. 24 (YPA) – The city of Taiz witnessed on Saturday a popular demonstration demanding the provision of services and the dismissal of the governor, Nabil Shamsan, who is loyal to the Saudi-led coalition.
Local sources in the parts of Taiz city under coalition control said that the demonstrators raised banners demanding the provision of electricity service and saving citizens from the exploitation of commercial stations.
The sources added that thousands of demonstrators chanted slogans demanding the dismissal of the pro-coalition governor.
Activists called for an end to corruption and the plundering of public funds by the leadership of the pro-coalition local authority and the executive office in Taiz, noting that popular movements will continue in Taiz until citizens’ demands are met.
