Turkish soldier killed in Aleppo countryside

WORLD, Feb. 23 (YPA) -The “Afrin Liberation Forces” announced the killing of a Turkish soldier and a member of the armed factions affiliated with it in two operations in the countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria.

The forces stated in a statement that their fighters “carried out a special operation in the Marê region on the Azaz line against the occupying Turkish state and its gangs on February 17, 2024.

The statement noted that these operations come in response to the ongoing Turkish attacks on northern and eastern Syria.

The Afrin Liberation Forces have previously launched a series of military operations over the past six years against the Turkish army and its armed factions in the occupied Aleppo countryside, which led to the killing and injuring of dozens of Turkish soldiers and terrorist elements.
