SANAA, Feb. 19 (YPA) – Sanaa took on Monday a new stance towards the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
This evening, the President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, issued Presidential Decree No. 107 of 1445 AH regarding the classification of the United States of America and the United Kingdom of Britain as two countries hostile to the Republic of Yemen.
The decree stipulates that the two states shall be treated as states hostile to the Republic of Yemen and shall be dealt with in accordance with the principle of confrontation.
Last Wednesday, the Yemeni Parliament voted, in its exceptional session, on a draft law regarding the classification of countries, entities, and persons hostile to the Republic of Yemen and approved it in its final form.
The draft law aims to confront hostile actions and practices that affect the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen and its independence from any country.
