Deputy FM welcomes UN efforts to reach peace in Yemen 

SANAA, July 11 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Ezzi on Wednesday welcomed efforts made by the UN special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, to reach a fair peace that ensures the unity and stability of Yemen.

During his meeting with aAiman Mackie, the political affairs officer in the UN envoy’s office, al-Ezzi confirmed that there are ongoing attempts by the Saudi-led coalition to obstruct the peace process.

He said that “the continued escalation by the coalition in Yemen’s western coast does not serve the United Nations efforts aiming to acheive a settlement.”

In the meeting, Mackie reviewed the efforts of the UN envoy to reach a comprehensive political settlement.
