Cold weather predicted in several provinces of Yemen

SANAA, Feb. 10 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning projected cold weather in in several provinces of Yemen.

In its weather forecast, the center affirmed that a cold wave may target Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, and Bayda province.

It indicated to the possibility of fog forming on parts of the highlands of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Ibb and Taiz, with the possibility of scattered shower falling on parts of the Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Sanaa, Mahweet, Hajjah and Saada, as well as Tihama Plain.

The winds are moderate to strong, ranging in speed between (15-30 knots), especially on the south of the western coast, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, the west of the Gulf of Aden, and the Socotra Archipelago.

The center warned citizens, especially the elderly and children, in mountainous areas, of the cold weather.
