Iran puts new air defense systems into service

TEHRAN, Feb. 03 (YPA) – Iran’s Army put on Saturday new air defence systems into service.

The Iranian army unveiled “Shafaq” anti-armor air missile systems and the “Yousef” night-vision camera system, which were designed and produced by scientists and aviation experts of the Iran’s Army Ground Force.

The new locally-made missile system is characterized by intelligence, high accuracy, and increased operational range, so that it can destroy targets within a range of 20 kilometers.

It also has the ability to be used in various tactical and operational strategies for future wars.

The Shafaq air-launched missile is also distinguished by its ability to carry out offensive operations in all weather conditions, and it can be launched from fighters, speedboats, and warships.
