Haniyeh: a ceasefire proposal should lead to withdrawal of occupation army, reconstruction and a comprehensive prisoner exchange deal

GAZA, Feb. 02 (YPA) – Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Political Bureau of the Hamas Movement, affirmed that a ceasefire proposal should lead to the complete cessation of aggression, the withdrawal of the occupation army from Gaza Strip, lifting the siege, reconstruction and a comprehensive prisoner exchange deal.

During a phone call, Ismail Haniyeh and Ziyad Al-Nakhaleh, Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement discussed developments on the field and the political situation our Palestinian arena is undergoing, especially regarding the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood.

Consultations were held regarding initiatives to end the aggression on Gaza, emphasizing that the study of the new proposal for a ceasefire is based on the principle that any negotiations should lead to the complete cessation of aggression, the withdrawal of the occupation army from the Gaza Strip, lifting the siege, reconstruction, introduction of all life necessities for our people, and accomplishing a comprehensive prisoner exchange deal, affirming that the resistance factions will be where our people’s interest and protection are.

Haniyeh and Al-Nakhaleh considered that the heroic steadfastness of our people, the bravery of the resistance, and the political will in the battle of Al-Aqsa Flood and what our people in Al-Quds, the West Bank, and in all their places of presence are subjected to, will achieve freedom, return, and independence for our people.
