Update: Yemen’s naval forces fire suitable missiles at US commercial ship
SANAA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – Yemen’s naval forces of the armed forces carried out on Wednesday a fresh military operation in Aden Gulf, targeting an American commercial ship (KOI) while it was heading to the ports of occupied Palestine.
Military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahiya Sarie said in a statement that the vessel was directly targeted with several suitable naval missiles.
He affirmed that the operation came just a few hours after Yemeni naval forces had accurately hit the American destroyer USS (Gravely) in the Red Sea, with several naval missiles.
“The Yemeni Armed Forces continue to provide support and solidarity with their brothers in the Gaza Strip by blocking Israeli navigation or those heading to occupied Palestinian ports in the Red and Arab Seas until food and medicine are allowed,” Sarie added.
The spokesman threatened the American-British alliance that its escalation would be met with escalation, noting that the armed forces will not hesitate to carry out comprehensive and effective military operations in retaliation to any British-American foolishness against Yemen.
“All American and British ships in the Red and Arabian Seas are legitimate targets for the Yemeni armed forces as long as the American-British aggression against our country continues,” he warned.
Brigadier General Sarie renewed that the operation also come in triumph of the oppressed Palestinian people and in support and solidarity with Gaza Strip, as well as a response to the American-British aggression on Yemen.
