PCRS: Fate of Palestinian child trapped inside vehicle in Gaza remains unknown

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PCRS) said that the fate of the paramedics who went yesterday to rescue Hind, 6, who was trapped inside a vehicle in Gaza City, is still unknown.

The PCRS said it had lost contact with the paramedics, and that it did not know if they had succeeded in their mission.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society documented an audio recording of the moment gunfire was directed at 15-year-old Layan Hamadeh while she was speaking on the phone with the Palestine Red Crescent team.

Layan was killed, and 6-year-old Hind remained trapped inside the car surrounded by the occupation tanks and soldiers.

Our ambulance team went to rescue her yesterday evening, but they have not returned as of now. We lost contact with them about 18 hours ago, and we still remain unaware of their fate and whether they succeeded in evacuating her or not.

Earlier Yesterday, the Israeli occupation forces surrounded Hind inside a vehicle in the Fares Gas Station area in Gaza City, after targeting her family.

PCRS indicated that Hind was with the family of her mother’s uncle, Bashar Hamada, when the occupation forces opened fire at the vehicle in which they were traveling.

Six of the girl’s family members were killed in the attack and she was the sole survivor in the vehicle, according to the PRCS.

Meanwhile, the rest of the family along with Hind are still trapped inside.
