Abdul-Salam: America’s attempts to mislead world about Red Sea exposed

SANAA, Jan. 23 (YPA) – The head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, revealed that America is continuing to mislead the world about what is happening in the Red Sea.

“In light of the exposed American attempts to mislead the world about what is happening in the Red Sea, in an effort by Washington to create an international crisis to unjustly burden Yemen with its consequences, we reiterate and stress that the targets in the Red Sea are Israeli ships or those bound to the ports of occupied Palestine, in support of the Palestinian people by pressuring Israel to stop its criminal, fascist aggression against Gaza, and to lift the unjust siege,” Abdul-Salam said in a post on the X platform.

He called on all countries to be reassured by the Yemeni position, and not to allow themselves to be a victim of American deception.

Abdul-Salam noted that America must hold the responsibility for stopping the aggression against Gaza instead of escaping and creating crises that everyone does not need.

He stressed that “Yemen, in accordance with the principle of the right to self-defense, will not allow its sovereignty to be violated and will not remain idly in the face of any aggression it is exposed to.”
