Zionist officer killed, two soldiers injured in south Gaza battles

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Jan. 16 (YPA) – The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced the death of an officer in addition to the serious injury of two others in battles in the southern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army spokesman allowed the publication of the names of its dead soldiers.

According to the occupation army spokesman, Sergeant Major (Reserve) Nitzan Shasler, 21 years old, in the 7155 Battalion Hanit (55) formation – was killed in south Gaza battles.

The Israeli army spokesman added that in the battle in which Nitzan Shasler was killed, a reserve soldier in the 7155th Battalion was seriously wounded, and a fighter in the 603rd Engineering Battalion of the “Sar Majulan” (7) was seriously wounded during a battle, which took place in the southern Gaza Strip.

This brig the death toll of occupation troops to 522 since Oct. 7, 2023, and 188 since the start of the ground invasion on Oct.27.
