Cuba condemns US, UK strikes on Yemen

HAVANA, Jan. 14 (YPA) – Cuba’s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez condemned on Saturday the attacks launched by the United States and NATO allies on Yemen, in a violation of international law.

Rodríguez said in a statement that such actions would encourage genocide in Gaza, reiterating the call for an immediate ceasefire in the Palestinian territories.

“Cuba supports the lawsuit submitted by South Africa,” he added, calling urgently for an end to the genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people.”

Earlier, Cuban President, Miguel Díaz-Canel, expressed his country’s firm support for the lawsuit filed by South Africa before the International Court of Justice against “Israel”, due to the crimes and acts of genocide committed against the Palestinian people.
