ADEN, Jan. 13 (YPA) – Pro-UAE militants tore up a large banner containing prayers for Gazans in the city of Aden, southern Yemen, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition.
According to local human rights sources in the city, the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s faction tearing up the banners came under the directives of the Emirati official in charge of the security file in Aden, named “Ahmed Saif Al-Muhairi”.
A video circulated by activists from Aden on social media platforms sparked widespread discontent among the citizens as they considered it a hostile step by the leaders of the STC towards the Palestinian people to satisfy what they called a “sponsor” the Emirati.
The activists confirmed that the STC, the Emirati, the Saudi and the British will not be able to obliterate the Palestinian cause from the conscience of the Yemeni people, whatever the case.
They pointed out that what Aden is experiencing from repression and abuse of its sons and throwing them in Emirati detention is a temporary case no more.
