“The Yemeni response is legitimate within the framework of the sacred defense of Yemen, its sovereignty, independence and freedom of decision. The American and British should not believe that they will escape the punishment of the armed forces, the joy of the aggressors will not be long and it will be with God’s help and trust in him victory and conquest shown to our dear Yemeni people,” the statement read.
The statement stressed that the presence of the United States, Britain and those who allied with them under false pretexts in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab is rejected and violates all laws, and it is a definite threat to international navigation and the Republic of Yemen is concerned in dealing with them appropriately.
The statement affirmed the adherence of the Republic of Yemen to what it had announced at the beginning of its naval operation, which aims to end the blockade, stop the aggression and the war of extermination on Gaza, and bring in food, medicines, fuel and all means of life.
It also confirmed that the armed forces would continue their measures in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab to prevent the passage of Israeli ships or goods to occupied Palestinian ports at all costs.
The Supreme Political Council expressed thanks to all countries, resistance movements and all the free people of the world who stood with Yemen against the US-British aggression.
It also praised the positions of the countries that refused to participate in the US operations and countries that condemned the US-British operations, stressing that the protection of the Red Sea is a sovereign right of the countries bordering the Red Sea.
