BEIRUT, Jan. 08 (YPA) – The Lebanese Hezbollah announced on Monday targeting of Israeli military sites off the border with occupied Palestine, achieving direct hits.
The party said in two separate statements on Monday that its fighters targeted the Hadab al-Bustan site opposite the Lebanese town of Dhahira and the Ruwaisat al-Alam site in the Israeli-occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms with appropriate weapons and achieved direct hits in both of them.
The Lebanese official news agency reported earlier today that “separate areas in southern Lebanon were subjected to Israeli bombardment with phosphorous bombs.”
The agency reported in several successive news reports that “Al-Awidah Hill between the towns of Adissa and Kafr Kila (south) was subjected to Israeli bombardment with phosphorus bombs.”
According to the agency, the Israeli bombing targeted a commercial establishment on the Al-Adisa Road, causing fires to break out in it, in addition to Israeli artillery shelling on a livestock farm on the outskirts of Al-Wazzani.
The agency stated, “This morning, Israeli warplanes launched an air aggression, during which they carried out a series of violent raids on the Khallet Wardah area on the outskirts of the border town of Aita al-Shaab. They also dropped a number of air-to-surface missiles, the explosion of which caused a sound that resonated in most areas of the South.”
