Pro-UAE factions warn against recruiting Lahj youth for Saudi Arabia

LAHJ, Jan. 03 (YPA) – UAE-backed armed factions in Lahj province have warned against the recruitment of young people from Al Musaymir district by a group affiliated with the Islah party in Hadramout and Marib provinces.

The “Southern Resistance” in Lahj  province said that there are movements by affiliates of the Islah Party who are recruiting young men from the sons of Al Musaymir district who are transferred to Seiyun to form a brigade called the “183rd Infantry Brigade.”

It pointed out that young people were recruited from Al Musaymir district in 2022, and later returned to the directorate to create military formations under the cover of the  “Dera Al-Watan” factions affiliated with Saudi Arabia.

The so-called Southern Resistance called on the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) to stand seriously against these moves and summon the elements that carry out these acts and hold them accountable.

The Resistance warned the southern military, security, or political leaders of showing sympathy with such elements.
