Cancer cases in Yemen reach 62,000 due to coalition weapons

SANAA, Dec. 31 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based government’s Minister of Public Health, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakil, said that the number of registered cases of cancer in Yemen has reached 62,000.

The Minister, accompanying the Prime Minister of Sana’a, Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, said during his visit to the National Cancer Control Foundation in the capital, Sanaa.

“The increase in people have been infected with the cancer disease during the recent years of aggression and siege as a result of the internationally banned weapons used by the coalition against the Yemeni people,” Al-Mutawakil added.
