UNRWA: At least 308 people sheltering in UNRWA shelters have been killed

GAZA, Dec. 30 (YPA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said that at least 308 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the war began after taking refuge in its facilities.

“Initial reports indicate that two people were killed at the UNRWA Maghazi Preparatory School, and another was injured on 25 December, as a result of a direct strike,” UNRWA said in a brief statement published on its X account on Friday.

“Since the war began, at least 308 people who sought refuge in UNRWA shelters have been killed and 1,095 injured.”

“Nowhere safe in Gaza,” UNRWA stated.

Under the rules of war and international law, all warring parties must refrain from bombing schools, hospitals, and places of worship, but Israel has relentlessly bombed these facilities and caused hundreds of deaths and injuries inside.
