Yemen’s Navy carries out military operation against ship headed to Israel ports

SANAA, Dec. 26 (YPA) – The spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Yahya Sarie, said on Tuesday the naval forces carried out a military operation in the Red Sea against a commercial ship, MSC UNITED, which was headed to Israeli ports.

Sarie affirmed that the ship was targeted with appropriate naval missiles.

The spokesman added that the operation was carried out after its crew refused, for the third time, contacts by the naval forces, as well as repeated fiery warning messages.

Yahya Sare’e further pledged the armed forces’ commitment to the Palestinian people, denouncing Israel’s recent attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The attack also came in support of the oppression of the Palestinian people, who until this moment have been subjected to killing, destruction, siege, and starvation.
