TEHRAN, Dec. 24 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, considered on Saturday that “establishing a naval alliance in the Red Sea is a strategic mistake that will not help solve the region’s problems.”
Al-Mayadeen TV quoted Abdullahian as saying: “If Washington wants a safe zone for energy transfer in the Red Sea, it must stop its support for Israel, which is exterminating civilians, instead of creating alliances.
He also considered that “the region does not need alliances, and just the Americans stop supporting the Zionists, they will see that the region becomes safer and conditions will improve even for the transfer of energy”.
Abdollahian stressed that the solution is not to create an alliance in the Red Sea, but rather to stop the bloodshed of children and women in Gaza.
US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, had previously announced that he was communicating with his British counterpart, Grant Shapps, to discuss “threats in Yemen.
