MUSCAT, Dec. 20 (YPA) – The UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, concluded a visit to the Sultanate of Oman aimed to discuss the latest development regarding Yemen.
He explained in a post on the (X) platform that he held meetings with a number of senior Omani officials, as part of international coordination efforts to launch a comprehensive political process to end the Yemen crisis.
Grundberg expressed his appreciation for the support provided by Oman to the mediation efforts undertaken by the United Nations in Yemen.
The UN envoy announced that he met with the head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, to discuss efforts made to enhance progress towards implementing measures to improve living conditions in Yemen and achieve a sustainable ceasefire, in addition to make tangible progress towards a UN-brokered political settlement.
