Hundreds of French soldiers participate in Gaza war

PARIS, Dec. 17 (YPA) – Over 4,000 French soldiers, who hold the dual French-Israeli citizenship, are participating in the criminal aggression on Gaza Strip.

Thomas Portes, deputy of the French National Assembly, said in his post on X.

He called on the French Ministry of Justice to hold accountable his country’s citizens who committed war crimes while participating in the fighting in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

“There are more than 4,000 soldiers of French origins in the occupation army, ranking second in number after the Americans, based on a study conducted by French Radio Europe 1 on this matter,” Portes added.

He considered that the participation in these crimes unacceptable and harms France’s reputation.

The French MP also asked the Minister of Justice of France to bring persons with French nationality, “including dual nationalities,” who are guilty of war crimes to French justice.
