GAZA, Dec. 17 (YPA) – The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, announced on Sunday that it had fought fierce battles with the Israeli occupation forces penetrating into Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
“We engaged in fierce clashes using anti-tank shells, machine guns, and mortar shells with the enemy forces invading the eastern and northern Khan Younis axes, and we achieved confirmed casualties among the ranks of the enemy soldiers and vehicles,” Al-Quds Brigades said in a statement
On the other hand, The Israeli occupation army announced today that two more soldiers were killed during the ongoing battles in the Gaza Strip, bringing the total number of its dead since the start of the ground invasion to 121, and to 453 since October 7.
On the 72nd day of the war, the Israeli occupation army continues its military operations in the Gaza Strip, while international efforts to resume truce and prisoner negotiations between Israel and Hamas are intensifying.
