SHABWA, Dec. 12 (YPA) – Tribal militants cut on Tuesday the road linking the provinces of Shabwa and Hadramout, which are under the control of Saudi-led coalition factions in eastern Yemen.
Local sources explained that militants from “Al-Adhm” tribe blocked the road between Shabwa and Hadramout to demand the release of one of their sons from the prison in the city of Mukalla, Hadramout center.
The militants created a checkpoint on the main road to put pressure on the pro-coalition authorities to speed up the release of the prisoner, the sources added.
The sources pointed out that tribal militants prevented gas and fuel tankers from passing through the area until their demands were met.
