Cold weather expected to sweep various provinces in Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 12 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning expected cold weather in a number of provinces of Yemen.

In its weather forecast, the center said a cold wave will hit the provinces of Dhamar, Bayda, Amran, Sanaa, Saada, Dhalea and Ibb, in addition to Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, Jawf, Marib, Mahweet and Rayma.

According to the center, moderate to active winds, ranging in its speed between 15-25 knots, may blow around the Socotra Archipelago, the western coast, and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.

It called on the elderly, children, patients, and workers during the late hours of the night and early morning to take the necessary precautions against the effects of the cold and extremely cold weather.
