WORLD, Dec. 12 (YPA) – India plans to add 100 satellites to its military satellites within the next 8 years, The Times of India reported, citing a source in the country’s Ministry of Defense.
“The constellation of Indian military space satellites will increase by 100 satellites in the next 7 or 8 years. A space command will be established in the country to carry out operations in near and far space,” The source said.
According to the source, the Indian Air Force has submitted a new draft doctrine to the government for approval, which provides for active steps to effectively use outer space for offensive and defensive purposes, as well as the restructuring of the army’s aerospace forces.
