SHABWA, Dec. 10 (YPA) – Bayhan district in Shabwah governorate witnessed on Sunday armed tensions between factions funded by the UAE due to rebellion of a security leadership over the decision to change and replace him with another one from outside the region.
Informed sources said that the tensions between the elements loyal to the UAE came after the decision to change the security director in the upper Bayhan area, “Hadian Al-Sharifi” and replace him with another director from outside the region, without disclosing his identity.
The sources pointed out that Hadian rejected the decision to change amid the mobilization of a number of gunmen affiliated with him in the district, indicating that the security director of Bayhan used “Amaliqa” factions to implement his decision and put down what was described as the rebellion led by Hadian.
