SANAA, Dec. 09 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning warned on Saturday of cold to very cold and dry weather in a number of Yemeni provinces and low humidity during the next 24 hours.
The center expected cold to very cold and dry weather during the late hours of the night and early morning in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Ibb, and Dhalea, and frost formation in separate parts of them.
The weather is also expected to be relatively cool to cold in the highlands of Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, and the west of Marib and Jawf provinces.
The Center warned citizens of the effects of cold, extreme cold, and drought weather, especially the elderly, the sick, children, and workers during the night, as well as farmers, livestock herders, and poultry and beekeepers during the late hours of the night and early morning.
Seafarers and fishermen were warned of turbulent seas and high waves on the western coast, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, and the Socotra Archipelago.
