PM attends conclusion of Fifth Neurosurgery Conference in Sanaa

SANAA, Nov. 30 (YPA) – Caretaker Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor attended on Thursday the conclusion of the Fifth Scientific Conference on Neurosurgery and Spine in Sanaa.

Dr. bin Habtoor delivered a speech, in which he highlighted the progress made by both male and female doctors in the field despite the challenges faced by the medical sector during years of aggression and siege.

He emphasized that travel to receive treatment abroad is now limited to a few specialties due to the diligence of doctors who can perform multiple operations in delicate fields like the brain, nerves, and spine.

Dr. Bin Habtoor expressed hope that the next conference would be held in Mukalla, Taiz, or Hodeida while the war had ended.

He noted the importance of scientific conferences in creating knowledge accumulation and encouraging collective efforts to develop science and knowledge in this vital field.

Over 600 neurosurgeons and spine doctors from several provinces participated in the two-day conference, discussing research and scientific papers presented by senior doctors from Yemen and other Arab and foreign countries via Zoom live broadcast technology.
