Israeli occupation realeases sixth batch of Palestinian detainees

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Nov.30 (YPA) –  The Israeli occupation released predawn on Thursday 30 Palestinian detainees as part of the Gaza-truce swap deal, including 15 women and 15 male teenagers, the official Palestine news agency Wafa reported.

An International Committee of the Red Cross bus transported detainees from the Ofer military prison to Ramallah, while detainees from Jerusalem, were released from the Russian Compound detention center.

The list of women who were released included two from Jerusalem, three from Hebron, three from Ramallah, and seven from Arab towns in Israel, while the boys include six from Jerusalem, three from Bethlehem, two from Ramallah, two from Jenin, one from Jericho, and one from Hebron.

All the detainees, with the exception of one from an Arab town in Israel, were detained after October 7, when Israel started its aggression on the Gaza Strip.

Israeli occupation forces earlier Wednesday night stormed the homes of the families of the Palestinian detainees in Jerusalem and threatened them not to hold any celebrations after the release of their children.

According to the agency, before the prisoners’ release, the occupation forces stormed the neighborhoods near the “Ofer” military prison located in Beitunia, west of Ramallah, leading to confrontations, during which forces fired live bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas bombs toward Palestinians.

The military incursion coincided with the anticipated release of Palestinian detainees from Israeli jails.

Furthermore, large Israeli military forces before midnight stormed the vicinity of the family home of Palestinian detainee, Maryam Salhab in the city of Hebron prior to her release amid the heavy firing of stun grenades.
