GAZA, Nov. 25 (YPA) – The Qatari Minister of State for International Cooperation, Lulwah Al Khater, led a delegation to the Gaza Strip via Rafah land crossing on Sunday to assess the Strip’s urgent needs and inspect the extent of destruction caused by the Israeli war.
This delegation is considered the first Arab delegation to visit the Gaza Strip since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7th.
The Qatari delegation, which includes members of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, is scheduled to visit the committee’s headquarters, which was subjected to an Israeli bombing about two weeks ago, and to see the extent of the damage it sustained.
The delegation is expected to meet with representatives of the government health and service institutions in Gaza to assess the situation and determine the urgent needs.
The State of Qatar condemned the bombing of the headquarters of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza and called on the countries of the world to condemn this attack.
The official spokesman for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Majed Al-Ansari, said that this “will not deter the State of Qatar from providing its assistance to the Palestinian people.”
He added, “Providing aid is not linked to any events. Rather, it is a moral and Islamic obligation, and we will not be deterred by all attempts by the occupation or others to stop this aid.”
