Saudi authorities arrest Yemen’s religious preacher in Mecca

RIYADH, Nov. 24 (YPA) – The Saudi authorities have arrested a prominent Islamic preacher from Yemeni province Hadramout in Mecca city because of his stances against Zionist crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Adel Al-Hasani, a southern political activist, said in his post on X platform on Thursday that the Saudi authorities arrested the vice president of the so-called “Council of Sunni Scholars in Hadramout and a founding member of the League of Islamic World Scholars, Abdullah Al-Ahdal, while he was visiting Baitullah or the House of Allah in Mecca.

Al-Hassani attributed Al-Ahdal’s arrest to words he wrote about the genocide committed by Zionist enemy against the Palestine people in Gaza.
