Senior leader of Palestinian resistance assassinated in Lebanon
BEIRUT, Nov. 21 (YPA) – A senior leader of the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, was killed on Wednesday in an assassination in southern Lebanon.
Media sources said Khalil Kharaz, the deputy commander of Al-Qassam Brigades, was assassinated, along with three of his companions, by the Israeli occupation forces.
The operation came a day after a statement by Israeli enemy’s Defense Minister Yoav who confirmed that the occupation’s decision to activate a plan to target the movement’s leaders abroad.
Al-Qassam branch in Lebanon is considered the most active during the recent confrontations in Gaza, and the assassination of Kharaz indicated an Israeli attempt to compensate for its defeats in the Gaza Strip by targeting symbols of the movement abroad.
