Israeli occupation turns Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza into military barracks
GAZA, Nov. 15 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation has turned Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza Strip into a military barracks and a center for detention and torture.
Media sources confirmed that the occupation forces handcuffed a large number of doctors and shot some of them, allowing these forces to expand their attack in the corridors of the medical complex, during storming the hospital.
The sources indicated that the occupation stormed the dialysis department, intensive care unit, and other specialized departments, noting that the enemy’s tanks also surrounded the medical complex and its sections.
The sources described what the occupation forces are committing in “Al-Shifa” as a war crime.
For its part, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Right Monitor commented on the Israeli aggression against the hospital by saying that “Israel” turned the buildings of the medical complex into a center for detention and abuse of patients and displaced people, as well as medical staff.
The Monitor strongly condemned this raid, which took place with significant Israeli military reinforcements, expressing its fears of killings and executions that the occupation might commit in “Al-Shifa.”
On Tuesday, the human rights organization Human Rights Watch confirmed in a statement that the Zionist enemy did not provide any evidence proving the Hamas use of medical facilities in the Gaza Strip, calling for an investigation into the Zionist attacks against those facilities as war crimes.
