UN’s Chief: Civilian installations, civilians have become victims of ground operations, bombing of Gaza
NEW YORK, Nov. 07 (YPA) – United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres said on Tuesday that Civilian installations and facilities and civilians are the most affected by ground operations and the continuing Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip.
The UN Secretary-General added in a press conference on the Middle East: “The Israeli army’s ground operations and continuous bombing are hitting civilians, hospitals, refugee camps, mosques, churches and United Nations sites, including shelters. No one is safe.”
According to him, the crisis in the Gaza Strip has developed into a “humanitarian crisis.”
“The Gaza nightmare is more than just a humanitarian crisis, but a crisis for humanity,” he said.
Guterres also stressed the need to supply the Gaza Strip with fuel.
He added that the number of journalists who were killed in the war launched by “Israel” on the Gaza Strip is “a record number.”
He also announced that United Nations relief workers who have been killed since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip are on the rise, more than at any other time in the history of the international organization.
