After failure of Hodeidah attack, France sends Defense Minister to Riyadh
SANAA, July 8 (YPA) – France sent its Defense Minister Florence Barley to Saudi Arabia, where she met on Sunday with the Saudi monarch Salman bin AbdulAziz.
This came at a time Asnarullah movement accused France of participating via some of its troops in the failed attack on Yemen’s western province of Hodeidah.
The official Saudi news agency said that King Salman reviewed with the French minister during a meeting with her at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah, “the developments in the Middle East and the efforts exerted towards them.”
The Saudi agency did not mention the Yemeni file, which was certainly one of the priorities of the meeting.
The two sides discussed “aspects of relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the military fields, and ways to develop them”, according to the agency.
