US lawmaker introduces bill barring Palestinians from entering US

WORLD, Nov. 05 (YPA) – Republican US Representative Ryan Zink has prepared a bill that would bar Palestinians from obtaining visas to the United States and could pave the way for the deportation of Palestinians from the country.

Citing security reasons, Zink submitted the bill to the House of Representatives, which would bar Palestinian passport holders from entering the United States and could lead to the deportation of Palestinians on visas.

Zinck, who served as interior secretary under former U.S. President Donald Trump, claimed he prepared the bill, dubbed the Extremism Protection Act, to keep American citizens safe.

He said of the bill, signed by 10 Republican members of Congress, “Given the circumstances and threats to our immigration system, and the past of terrorists abusing asylum and visa procedures around the world, the requirements in this bill are necessary to keep Americans safe.”

If the law is enacted, the US Department of Homeland Security would block asylum for those with Palestinian passports.
