Saudi Arabia raises STC fears after taking control over over important military sites in Lahj

LAHJ, Nov. 05 (YPA) – The Saudi-funded “Dera Al-Watan” factions were established from extremist Salafist groups deployed and stationed near the southern coasts overlooking the city of Aden, which is controlled by the UAE-backed factions, well-informed sources said on Sunday.

According to the sources, the command of the Saudi forces in Aden has assembled the “Dera Al-Watan” factions during the past days after they established advanced military sites near Al-Anad base towards southern Lahj in the Tur Al-Baha district overlooking Aden after training new batches in the region.

The sources indicated that the command of the Saudi forces distributed weapons to its extremist factions and provided them with equipment, in a move described as dangerous amid the fears and silence of the leaders of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).

The Saudi sources accused of planning to reduce the presence of the STC’s factions in those important areas, while other probabilities indicate a plan for new confrontations against the Sanaa forces after the latter’s carried out missile and drone strikes against the Israeli occupation during the past days in response to its crimes and mass massacres of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The sources pointed out that Saudi Arabia provided its factions with US weapons, without knowing the purpose of their presence there or their upcoming directions.

It is worth mentioning that the Emirati factions led by Tariq Saleh control a number of important sites in the Al- Mudaraba and Ras al-Ara districts, near the Bab al-Mandab Strait, all the way to the coastal city of Mocha, west of Taiz.
