WORLD, Nov. 02 (YPA) – The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced, on Thursday, that they attacked Lebanese territory “in response to the launch of a surface-to-air missile towards an Israeli drone,” denying that it had fallen.
“A surface-to-air missile was fired from Lebanese territory tonight at an Israeli remotely piloted aircraft, and in response, IDF forces attacked the group that carried out the shooting and the launch site from which the missile was fired. There was no damage to the aircraft,” the occupation army said in a statement.
The statement added that “the Israeli occupation forces monitored a number of launching missiles from Lebanese territory towards the area (Mount Dov and Hermon) Shab’a Farms and Mount Hermon, and landed in open areas. In response, Israeli artillery forces attacked the source of the fire.”
This comes after the Lebanese Hezbollah announced at dawn on Thursday the downing of an armed Israeli drone by a surface-to-air missile in southern Lebanon.
