Iraqi factions target US base in Syria

WORLD, Oct. 31 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance in “Iraq” announced on Monday it targeted the US base in the Conoco gas field in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor with a missile barrage.

“The fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted the American occupation base in the Conoco gas field in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor with a missile salvo, which directly hit its targets,” the resistance in Iraq said in a statement on Monday evening.

Attacks on the US forces in Syria continue, which have become more frequent recently through rocket and drone attacks on US facilities in both Iraq and Syria.

In recent days, military bases in Iraq housing US troops have also been attacked with drones and rockets.

The Pentagon announced on Thursday that about 16 attacks have hit the US and international forces in Iraq and Syria since the beginning of October, accusing “Iran-backed militias” of being behind the attacks.
