GAZA, Oct. 29 (YPA) – The Zionist occupation forces the administration of Al-Quds Hospital to evacuate in preparation for its bombing.
Palestinian Red Crescent Society said on Sunday that it had got two phone calls in a sharp warning tone by the Zionist enemy authorities to evacuate immediately Al-Quds Hospital, located in the Tal Al-Hawa area in Gaza city.
“Palestine Today” news agency quoted the Society in a news statement, saying that it had previously announced that the hospital has hundreds of wounded, injured, and patients receiving treatment inside the hospital and in the intensive care room, and children in nurseries, in addition to 12,000 displaced and defenseless civilians, the majority of whom were children and women who are currently residing temporarily inside the hospital, after they took refuge in it as a safe place, as well as to the association’s crews, the operating room, and ambulance crews who provide services to hundreds of thousands of citizens in the northern the Strip.
“These threats come from enemy authorities even though international humanitarian law provides for the protection of unarmed civilians and medical facilities and their staff,” the statement added. “The signatory countries of the four Geneva Conventions must bear their legal responsibilities and ensure the protection of medical staff and civilian persons in all circumstances.”
The Society’s statement called on its partners in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and its components to intervene immediately and urgently to ensure the protection of civilians, and the Society’s facilities and crews in accordance with international humanitarian law.
