Leader in Islah Party gets insulted by STC militias in Aden

ADEN, Oct. 26 (YPA) – A leader in the Saudi-formed “Presidential Leadership Council” was severely insulted on Thursday by factions loyal to the UAE while he was attending a human rights event in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

Local sources in the city confirmed that the factions of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council prevented the head of the so-called “Youth Department in the Leadership Council (STC),” Mohammed Al-Muqbali, who belongs to the Islah Party, from entering the Coral Hotel to attend an event regarding child recruitment in Aden.

The sources stated that Al-Muqbali was directly insulted by the STC’s members charged with securing the event, indicating that his coming to attend came based on an invitation he received from the Mayon Organization for Human Rights.

According to the sources, a number of journalists and media professionals were prevented from entering the Petra Hall in the hotel, despite receiving invitations from the parties organizing the event.
