HADRMOUT, Oct. 26 (YPA) – A car bridge in the international road linking Yemeni Hadramout and the Sultanate of Oman collapsed on Thursday due to heavy rainfall.
Activists from Hadramout confirmed that torrential rains caused the collapse of the bridge located in Bashar area in the coastal Qusayar district, near Mahra province of Yemen, due to the effects of the tropical cyclone (Tej) that struck Socotra and Mahra during the past two days.
They pointed out that the heavy rains caused also massive damage to citizens’ property, without any significant intervention by the coalition countries and local authorities in the province.
