One memeber of STC militia killed, nine others injured in two separate attacks in Lahj

LAHJ, Oct. 22 (YPA) – A conscript was killed and 9 others were seriously injured, on Saturday due to two separate attacks on the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias in Lahj province, southern Yemen.

Local sources said that a military vehicle, carrying soldiers of the Ninth Thunderbolt Brigade affiliated with the STC, was ambushed in the Al-Hajjaf area of Ras Al-Ara and Al-Mudaraba district.

The ambush led to the death of Lieutenant Aslam Ali Mansour Al-Kalouli, while 6 other soldiers were injured with varying injuries.

In a second attack, three  were injured as a result of an armed ambush in the Al-Muthalath area in the same district.

Lahj is witnessing military tension between the Saudi-led coalition factions amid Saudi efforts to expel the STC Forces and Tariq Afash from the governorate.
